Dating to 1608 the picturesque Old Town of Québec City is a UNESCO World Heritage site and also one of the most well-preserved historical sites in North America, treating visitors to cobblestone streets and 17th and 18th century architecture. Located in the only province of Canada which is predominantly French-speaking and often referred to as the ‘Europe of North America’, Québec City is lovely frequented in Autumn as the city is characterised by beautiful foliage and thinner crowds. The city is relatively compact and easily navigated by foot, with the Old Town hosting an array of museums and narrow colonial streets to explore.
