Ports

Fort Lauderdale

Originally a fort built by the U.S. Army in 1838, during the Second Seminole War, Ft. Lauderdale has little left of its warlike past. Instead the city welcomes visitors with broad beaches and an easy pace of life, plus convenient air and water connections that make the city a perfect place to begin or end a cruise.

San Juan

San Juan is one of the biggest natural harbors in the Caribbean and is the second oldest city in the Americas. This beautiful city, called "La Ciudad Amurallada," was founded in 1521. Cobblestone streets, hanging balconies, chapels and many plazas characterize the historic end of the city, while modern amenities and high-rise hotels have sprung up on the more developed beachfront.

Gustavia

Gustavia, St. Barts

Gustavia, the capital of St. Barts (also known as St. Barths), is a chic and upscale port nestled among a picturesque harbor. Dozens of white sand beaches, soothing lagoons and a lush, green landscape abound on this French West Indies island.

St Johns (Antigua)

Surrounded by an almost unbroken Coral Reef, Antigua’s powdery white-sand beaches are legendary. It is said there are 365 beaches, one for each day of the year, and almost as many dive and snorkel sites to enjoy. You can visit historic Nelson’s Dockyard for a look into the island’s naval past or stroll the streets of St. John’s, seeking out local crafts.

Antigua

All the signs pointed towards Antigua. The largest of the British Leeward Islands had warm, steady winds, a complex coastline of safe harbours, and a protective, nearly unbroken wall of coral reef. It would make a perfect place to hide a fleet. And so in 1784 the legendary Admiral Horatio Nelson sailed to Antigua and established Great Britain's most important Caribbean base. Little did he know that over 200 years later the same unique characteristics that attracted the Royal Navy would transform Antigua and Barbuda in to one of the Caribbean's most sought after destinations.

Castries

Queen Elizabeth once visited Castries, and the St Lucians have never forgotten it. It was for her that they named Queen's Drive—the road around this island that boasts a volcano, riotous botanical gardens and excellent whale-watching opportunities. In town, watch as natives fashion boats from gum trees, write your postcards in a Creole cafe or keep an eye out for exquisite silk-screened fabrics.
