Ports

Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia is the closest port to Rome. It serves mostly as a gateway, however there are still a few points of interest in this seaside town. Most notably the Fort of Michelangelo, built in the 1500s as a major defence post. Also of interest are the ancient ruins of the Baths of Traiano, a complex of Roman Baths once used for their therapeutic benefits.

Rome

Civitavecchia is the closest port to the Eternal city, Rome. Rome has been the focal point for many of the world's greatest artists, architects, rulers and philosophers. See Michelangelo’s masterly ceiling, the famous Swiss Guards in the Vatican and the Imperial splendours of the Colosseum. Climb the Spanish steps. And don’t forget to throw a coin into the Trevi Fountain to guarantee your return to this sublime city.

Bonifacio

Stroll down the narrow, twisting lanes of this lovely walled cliff top medieval town past ancient buildings where native son Napoleon walked when he commanded the local garrison in 1793. Visit stunning churches like Ste. Marie-Majeur, a 12th-century structure with a fountain that collects rainwater and the old market. Or explore the starkly beautiful countryside and Sartène, a traditional Corsican town.

Alghero

Alghero lies on the NW coast of Sardinia.  The old town hints at the Gothic quarter in Barcelona but with an Italian twist. Even in November you'll find flower filled piazzas and shops unique to this port alone. The craft shops in particular will take your fancy, with their pottery and jewellery made with local red corals.  The city walls towards the sea are still standing and you can take a nice stroll along the sea front towards the harbour and watch the various fishing boats and yachts.

Mahon/Menorca

One of the small, sun-bleached Balearic Islands that dot the Mediterranean east of the Spanish mainland, Menorca draws glimmering yachts and elite visitors from the mainland to its pretty beaches and rustic landscape. Mahón, perched on steep cliffs, overlooks the harbor and sports a distinctly British style, evidence of its occupied past.

Ibiza

Ibiza rocks to a late-night dance beat, but when the sun rises, it draws sleepy sun-worshippers out to the island’s beach scene. Twisty streets in Dalt Vila (High Town) lead up to the 14th-century cathedral for views of the city and the blue Mediterranean beyond.

SeaDream Yacht Club

SeaDream Yacht Club

SeaDream Yacht Club is an innovative, new yachting company that operates the twin, ultra-luxury mega yachts SeaDream I and SeaDream II. Since their introduction in September 2001, they have become the prototypes of the casual and intimate yachting experience. SeaDream Yacht Club has built upon this legacy and today the two sleek and stylish SeaDream yachts are highly acclaimed by discerning travellers seeking a unique seagoing experience and by travel industry observers worldwide.

SeaDream Yacht Club was founded in September of 2001 by Norwegian entrepreneur Atle Brynestad, who founded Seabourn Cruise Line. Bob Lepisto, the President of the Company has been with SeaDream since the beginning and says "SeaDream is not a cruise line. We are a yacht company and we provide a yachting experience." Yachting features an open and unstructured ambience that provides each guest the opportunity to enjoy it at their own pace and in their own style. We like to express this as "No clocks, no crowds, no lines, and no stress." The key word for the SeaDream yachting experience is "unstructured". The dress code is smart casual and use of water toys, drinks (with some exclusions), and gratuities are included. It is all about personal choice, a free form holiday in which guests feel that they are aboard their own yacht. That is why we say, "It's yachting, not cruising".
