Kerkyra

Stroll through the picturesque narrow streets, have a coffee on the Esplanade, spend a relaxed few hours in the Old Town of Corfu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The white Achilleion - one of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth's favourite spots - is only a few kilometres outside of Kerkyra. The lovingly cultivated complex from the 18th and 19th centuries offers marvellous views of the coast and the surroundings.

One of lushest of the Greek Isles, Corfu is rimmed by dramatic blue waters and topped with tranquil hillside villages. A collection of quaint cafes in the town of Corfu and the island's secluded coves and sandy beaches could only be found in the Greek Isles.
