Venice

Breathe in the romance and Italian exuberance of this spellbinding city. Explore its mysterious and watery streets. Take a gondola ride to truly appreciate the atmosphere and architecture of the city. Sip a cappuccino in St. Mark’s Square or ride across the lagoon to the islands of Murano and Burano. From the Gothic arches of the Doges Palace to the intricate façade of St. Marks Cathedral, a day in Venice is bound to enchant you.

Rovinj

Rovinj is a city in Croatia situated on the north Adriatic Sea. It is located on the western coast of the Istrian peninsula and is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port. There is a sizeable community of Italians and the town is officially bilingual (Croatian and Italian). One popular tourist attraction is the church of St. Euphemia. The building process started in 1725, and lasted until 1736. Three main altars were built in 1741, and the organ was installed in 1754. The façade was designed and built in the second half of the 19th century. Many altars and paintings enrich and embelish the church from within.

Split

Split has a long tradition of collecting and caring for monuments. This interest appeared as early as the Renaissance. Diocletian's Palace, Mestrovic Gallery, the Archaeological Museum and the Temple of Jupiter are just a few of the impressive museums and galleries that shouldn't be missed.

Otranto

About ten million tesserae decorate the floor of Santa Annunziata Cathedral in the Old Town of Otranto, combining more than 700 stories into a masterpiece by the Apulian monk Pantaleone. A sight which will of course not be left out during the city tour with walk. Salentine Baroque is the source of elegant charm in the streets of the Old Town of Lecce. Churches, squares and palazzi enchant visitors during a city tour through the "Florence of the South", e.g., the Piazza S. Oronzo with the statue of the saint in its centre, the Roman amphitheatre or the Palazzo del Seggio from 1592.

Kerkyra

Stroll through the picturesque narrow streets, have a coffee on the Esplanade, spend a relaxed few hours in the Old Town of Corfu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The white Achilleion - one of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth's favourite spots - is only a few kilometres outside of Kerkyra. After her death, Kaiser Wilhelm II purchased the elegant estate and commissioned the "Victorious Achilles", which can still be seen in the park today. The beautiful bays and beaches of the west coast will accompany you to Palaiokastritsa. The monastery Panagia Theotokos lords over the region from a high cliff. The lovingly cultivated complex from the 18th and 19th centuries offers marvellous views of the coast and the surroundings.

Valletta

Strategically located on Mount Sceberras overlooking the Grand and Marsamxett harbours is Valletta, the capital of Malta and an icon of baroque architecture. It is a city steeped in history, culture and religion with elaborate fortifications, palaces, museums and churches. Amongst the notable highlights are the Grand Co-Cathedral of St. John, the monastoic church of the knights of St. John, the Grand Master's Palace, Mdina, the famed walled city, war and archeological museums.

Malta

The fortifications at Malta’s Grand Harbour speak volumes about her past, indeed her reputation for valour during the Second World war earned her the George Cross and there aren’t too many islands you can say that of! Ship info

Europa

The Europa, the flagship of the Hapag Lloyd fleet, sets international standards: for the eighth time in succession, it was the only cruise ship in the world to be awarded the coveted ranking of 5-stars plus by Berlitz Cruise Guide 2010. Never before has there been so much space for each guest and so much private sphere in which to simply feel good.

The accommodation for the maximum of 408 guests on the Europa is comprised solely of suites, each with separate living and sleeping areas. Every one of them has a walk-in wardrobe, and almost all of them have a private veranda. One small detail: every passenger on board is given his/her own e-mail address.

All of the guests are served at a single seating and order à la carte in the Europa Restaurant with the large panorama windows. The more intimate speciality restaurants, "Restaurant Dieter Muller" and "Venezia", serve the very best cuisine. Replacing Europa’s former Euro-Asian eatery ‘Oriental’, the new restaurant will be co-run by Europa’s head chef and its creator, celebrity chef Dieter Muller.

Muller will be onboard Europa serving up his contemporary menu creations (said to be a blend of French, Asian and Mediterranean influences) for a total of 70 days a year. Lauded as Germany’s greatest chef, he has been praised by the Michelin Guide.

International show stars appear on the stage of the Europa Lounge, our concert hall and ballroom. Various bars and lounges, the library with Internet access and an auditorium for talks and seminars guarantee relaxation in sophisticated surroundings.

A golf simulator, the hair stylist and beauty salon, the fitness room, sauna, massages, the wellness area and our swimming pool with Magrodom are all at your service to ensure your well-being. In addition, the exclusive boutique and Wempe, the jeweller's, on the Promenade invite you to take an extended shopping trip.
