Ports

Dubai

A relatively new tourist destination, Dubai has gained in popularity in the recent years. It is essentially a desert city with superb infrastructure, liberal policies and excellent tourist amenities. Just 5 hrs from Europe and 3 hrs from most parts of Asia, Dubai makes a great short break for shopping, partying, sunbathing, fine dining, sporting events, and even a few sinful pleasures. It is a city of superlatives: for the fastest, biggest, tallest, largest and highest, Dubai is the destination.

Diego Suarez

Diego Suarez, situated in the extreme north of Madagascar, considered one of world’s most beautiful and widest bays, is a country town, but also the third largest port of the continent island.
Diego Suarez is built around the bay and has a modern and looked-after appearance, but the impression you will get is that its population is not very large. This area is famous for its fishing products and handicrafts made of zebu horn and sea turtle shells. Its handicraft men continue a long tradition and manage to create beautiful objects and trinkets.

The island's dearth of world-class beaches has a lot to do with its lack of mass tourism, but what Réunion lacks at sea level it more than makes up for in its wildly dramatic mountain country.

The town has plenty of character, its past elegance shows in certain quarters. Off the main square, palm-lined Place d'Armes, there are some particularly fine French colonial buildings, especially the Government House and the Municipal Theatre. There are two Cathedrals, a Mosque, Casino, a fine Supreme Court, some 18th century Barracks and a Natural History Museum.
